Sign up and, if eligible, we’ll send you a 2” x 2” wireless device that sticks to your windshield. Follow the instructions on the box, download our DriveWell app, and start driving. That’s it!

In summary, your data It will only be used in this study to compare driving data from your connected vehicle with driving data from CMT’s DriveWell mobile app and Tag device. Your data will be deleted at the end of this study.
No. All you need to do is drive normally. During the enrollment process, we’ll guide you through the setup process for the DriveWell app and Tag. This should only take a few minutes.
No. Your data will remain under the control of CMT, and will not be sold or otherwise monetized. A limited number of third parties may store or process your data in order for us to make our products available to you. All third-party data processing is done in accordance with our privacy policy.
To participate in this study, we need the following information from you:
Name and email: Your name and email will be used for communication with our researchers and support staff. Your name and email address will also be used to set up your account in the DriveWell mobile app.
VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of your vehicle: Your VIN will be used to look up the connected vehicle data collected by your vehicle manufacturer.
Mailing address: We will mail you a DriveWell Tag to place in your vehicle once we’ve confirmed your vehicle’s connected car data is available.
The DriveWell app uses sensors in your smartphone and DriveWell Tag to measure and analyze your driving. The app then provides an overall driving score based on a series of criteria, including:
- Phone Distraction
- Hard Braking
- Excessive Speeding
- Harsh Acceleration
- Hard Cornering
You will see your driving score in the DriveWell app. You’ll even be given pointers on how to improve your driving habits!
The DriveWell Tag is a small sensor that measures and records the motion of your vehicle while it’s moving. Data collected by the DriveWell Tag is sent directly to the DriveWell mobile app on your smartphone through a bluetooth connection and then uploaded to the cloud where it’s processed.
Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) will be used to identify and verify the vehicle driving data collected by your vehicle’s manufacturer. The VIN uniquely identifies a specific vehicle.
Your monthly earnings will be delivered electronically through the DriveWell App on your smartphone. $20 will be automatically added to your account at the end of each month you participate in the study. You can then redeem those rewards for gift cards, including Amazon and Visa.
